AfricaTech Award Shape the Future of African Innovation

The AfricaTech Award is a prestigious startup competition and showcase program organized by Viva Technology (VivaTech), one of Europe’s leading innovation and tech events held annually in Paris, France. This award highlights and supports African startups and entrepreneurs who are driving technological innovation and economic transformation across the African continent.

Startups from any African country can apply as long as they are headquartered in Africa and developing solutions for African markets. The competition is open to technology-driven ventures across all sectors; including FinTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, ClimateTech, digital services, and more.

Participants go through a competitive selection process with several stages. The Top 30 selected startups receive a VivaTech Startup Pass granting access to the global event. From those, 6 finalists are chosen to receive a full invitation package, including flights, accommodation, and multiple event passes, and the opportunity to pitch their solutions on stage in front of international investors, industry leaders, and potential partners. The winner gains further visibility through speeches, media exposure, and personalized coaching.
