Call for Urban Innovations – African Cities Innovation Fund (Million Lives Collective)

As part of the Million Lives Collective, Results for Development (R4D) is launching a call for urban innovations aimed at innovators, entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, social enterprises, and civil society organizations operating in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This call seeks to identify and support high-impact, scalable urban solutions that address critical challenges facing African cities, including climate-resilient urban services and infrastructure, circular economy and sustainable production, youth employment and economic mobility, digital equity, and the creation of safe, healthy, and inclusive urban spaces.

Selected innovators will join a global innovation ecosystem that promotes collaboration, systems thinking, and locally led solutions. Participants will benefit from increased visibility among funders and scaling partners, opportunities to build strategic partnerships, and eligibility to apply for financial grants through the African Cities Innovation Fund to support the growth and scaling of their innovations.

This opportunity targets locally grounded innovators with tested or piloted solutions who are ready to collaborate, scale their impact, and contribute to more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient African cities.
