BY STREAMING Project
The Open Call for Knowledge Transfer launched by the STREAMING Project is a funding opportunity supporting the development of practical, digital training programs aimed at strengthening sustainable food trade systems in Africa and Europe.
The call will fund 11 projects, each receiving up to €25,000, to design interactive, practice-oriented courses that connect researchers with farmers, food processors, start-ups, producers, and public health actors. The objective is to facilitate knowledge transfer and accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions in agriculture and food supply chains.
The training programs must address key innovation areas such as food traceability, life cycle assessment, nutrition and micronutrient deficiencies, food safety, waste reduction, sustainable farming systems, and scaling innovations in food supply chains.
A major priority of the call is women’s empowerment, encouraging projects that actively support women farmers, entrepreneurs, processors, and innovators. At least 60% of the total funding is allocated to African Third Parties, and applicants may come from any country.
Eligible applicants include universities, research institutions, NGOs, industry partners, vocational institutions, innovation hubs, and consortia across Africa and Europe.
The application deadline is 2 March 2026.
