Renew Venture Lab: Investing in African Startups

Renew Venture Lab is a pan-African venture capital and acceleration program designed to support tech-enabled, scalable, and asset-light startups across the continent. Led by Renew Capital, the program combines early-stage equity investment with structured acceleration, mentorship, and access to a strong regional and global investor network.

The opportunity targets founders who have already built a product, demonstrated early traction, and are preparing for their first institutional funding round. Selected startups benefit from investment readiness training, one-on-one mentorship from experienced investors and entrepreneurs, and the opportunity to pitch directly to Renew Capital for equity funding, with potential access to follow-on investments.

Renew Venture Lab supports startups across key sectors including FinTech, RegTech, Cybersecurity, Data Science & AI, HealthTech, Agri-FoodTech, ClimateTech, Enterprise SaaS, and other tech-driven solutions addressing real market challenges in Africa. Beyond funding, the program helps founders strengthen their business models, scale sustainably, and connect to long-term growth opportunities within Africa’s innovation ecosystem.
