The WFF Startup Innovation Awards (SIA) is a global competition launched by the World Food Forum and powered by MassChallenge Switzerland. The initiative supports youth-led, purpose-driven startups that are transforming agrifood systems through innovation and technology.
The awards aim to identify and accelerate innovative solutions that address critical global challenges in food systems, including food security, climate resilience, digital transformation, and gender inclusion. By connecting young entrepreneurs with global experts, investors, and policymakers, the program strengthens sustainable and scalable impact in agrifood ecosystems worldwide.
Each year, selected startups compete across thematic award categories aligned with global food system priorities. Finalists benefit from mentorship, international exposure, networking opportunities, and the chance to pitch their solutions at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome.
Through cash prizes, acceleration support, and access to global innovation platforms, the WFF Startup Innovation Awards empower the next generation of agrifood innovators to scale impactful solutions and contribute to more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive food systems worldwide.
